Cottonwood Bushland Reserve was previously known as Channel 7 bushland. It is 10 ha of pristine bushland adjacent to the new Seven Hills Housing Development. The Reserve is a remnant of once extensive bushland in the area. A crest of a remnant sand dune, sloping gently to the east, supports a range of vegetation types because of the variations in height and the presence of underlying limestone. It is full of Quendas, Red Wattlebirds, Singing Honey Eaters, Banksias, Sheoaks, Orchids, Fungi and more. 28 years ago local advocates saved the Cottonwood Bushland Reserve from development. Now you have the opportunity to become involved in caring for this unique site for the future.
